The Demand
Pick one experience from the last thirty days — a shift, a hire, a Guest interaction, a conversation with a vendor, a failure you have not yet examined. Run the extraction: what specifically happened, what decision or condition produced it, what does it reveal about an assumption you have been carrying, and what would you do differently now that you know? Write it down. That is the discipline. Done once it is a useful exercise. Done every week it is the most valuable professional development available to any operator at any level — and it costs nothing except the willingness to look honestly at what your decisions are actually producing.
The Work
