The sequencing relative to [Perception Audit] is the mechanism that makes this term more than a restatement of “be objective.” The audit’s job is to surface what the operator already believed walking in — the assumptions, the priors, the expectations built from past experience. [Just the Facts] is the separate, subsequent discipline of setting all of that aside and cataloguing only what’s actually observable right now, on the stage, in front of the operator.

The diagnostic question is deliberately repetitive in structure — not what you wanted, not what you expected, not what your perception told you — because each of those is a distinct way an operator’s read can get contaminated before it even starts. An operator can catch their own bias about what they expected to find while still missing bias about what they wanted to find. Naming all three separately forces a more complete check than a single generic instruction to “look objectively” would produce.
