Definition
Workshop-locked candidate, 05.07.2026, pending masterfile patch. Names the channel-level supplant case where third-party delivery infrastructure extracts value from the operator’s Guest relationship. Parent of [Delivery Arbitrage] — the duopoly’s industrialization of the mechanism across seven axes of structural extraction: margin, labor, data, brand, blame, food and beverage, and posture.
Explanation
The book’s authorial stance toward [Industry Arbitrage] is disassociation, not accommodation. Delivery-platform infrastructure is structurally incompatible with the relational frame the book teaches — every one of the seven extraction axes under [Delivery Arbitrage] pulls value or control away from the operator’s direct relationship with the Guest. But the book doesn’t tell an operator to drop the channel overnight; it teaches them to name what the channel actually is, measure what it costs across all seven axes, migrate volume to a [Native GX] where possible, and run any remaining duopoly volume with eyes open rather than under the illusion that it’s free reach.
This entry remains provisional pending a structural-attack pass on the surrounding architecture — the workshop explicitly flagged that later locks that night (including [The Anchor], [The Glue], and the broader Guest Experience canon) had not yet been stress-tested as a system when this entry was patched. Treat as load-bearing for the book’s antagonist architecture, but not yet fully hardened.
