Definition
The operator must be in motion or the operation contracts. Motion is not activity — it is deliberate, directional work on the operation. When motion stops, the floor contracts. The math is not neutral: not moving is losing.
Explanation
The counterpart to [Static Decline]. Where [Static Decline] names the outcome of stopped motion, [Law of Constant Motion] names the discipline that prevents it.
The operator confuses activity with motion. Activity is running the shift, running the checklist, running the P&L review. Motion is working on the operation — reading it, changing it, building it forward. An operator can be extremely active and simultaneously stationary in every direction that matters.
The compounding math ([Relational Compounding] versus [Transactional Contraction]) runs on this law. Small daily motion in the right direction compounds up. Small daily motion in the wrong direction — or no motion at all — compounds down.
