Working abbreviation UEP. The operator’s answer to “Why should a Guest choose you?” — not a USP built on a product feature, but a UEP rooted in the total experience. Replaces product-feature framing with experience-totality framing as the basis for Guest selection.

Explanation

A USP asks what you have that the competitor doesn’t — a dish, a price, a location. That’s a Road 1 question, because features get copied and prices get matched. A UEP asks what happens to a Guest inside your building that can’t happen inside anyone else’s, which is a Road 2 question, because an experience built on your specific cast, your specific standards, and your specific [Guest Experience] can’t be replicated by a competitor changing their menu.

This is why [Guest Experience] does the heavy lifting a feature list never can. Features compete on a spec sheet. Experience competes on a memory. The operator who can only point to what’s on the plate is still playing Road 1’s game even if he thinks he’s differentiated; the operator who can point to what it feels like to be a Guest in his building has actually left that game.
