The team’s capacity to adapt in motion without losing its shape. The anchor is the standard — the verb, the discipline, the expectation that every actor owns deeply enough to run in any space the shift requires. The flexibility is the authority and the training to stretch that anchor when the situation demands it. Every building produces a flexibility dynamic whether the operator designed one or not. The default is either rigid (cast who can only execute their assigned task and freeze when the task changes) or chaotic (cast who improvise without a shared standard and fragment under pressure). The designed version pairs the anchor with the stretch — cast who know their verb well enough to run it in unexpected spaces, and trust the cast around them to cover what they leave behind.
