Explanation

Operators watch the clutch moment and think that’s where the game was won or lost. It wasn’t. The clutch moment is a receipt. What it’s a receipt for was decided in every rep that came before it — every pre-shift, every training rep, every small correction made or skipped in the weeks leading up to the moment that finally got watched.

This is why [Outcome By Design] pairs so directly with the by-design/by-default frame. An operator who wants a specific outcome in a decisive moment cannot manufacture it in the moment.
