Where To Start

This is not a services menu. It is the routing surface for operators who have decided they want to work with me and need to know where to enter.

Find yourself on the grid below. The service at your coordinates is where you start. If you want to see how operators like you typically move through the practice, read the pathways under the grid. If coaching or consulting is where you think you are heading, read the two positioning notes at the bottom before you decide.

Where To Start Service Map A four-zone funnel with The Assessment as pre-funnel entry, then The Diagnostic read, framework learning, framework application, and framework embedding. Each card links to its shop page. The funnel runs top to bottom. Every operator starts with the Assessment. The Assessment — Free First read. Where the operator meets the framework and gets a first look at the operating picture. Free entry point to the funnel. ZONE 1 — GET THE READ The full read builds the operating picture on the record. The Diagnostic Full read of the operator and the operation against all five fundamentals. The framework applied to your operation, on the record. ZONE 2 — LEARN THE FRAMEWORK Learning events that transmit the framework to the operator and the team. Public Speaking For associations, conferences, chambers, and operators bringing insight to their leadership team and cast. Workshops Team and cohort sessions on the framework applied to the operator's specific operation. ZONE 3 — APPLY THE FRAMEWORK Applied engagements on the operator's specific operation. The One-On-One Single conversations on one question at a time. Mentoring Individual growth tool that supports the operator as a leader. Coaching Ongoing development on the framework applied to the operation. ZONE 4 — EMBED THE FRAMEWORK The framework runs inside the operation. Deepest engagement. Fractional The fastest path to establishing the foundation for growth. Consulting For the serious architectural work that needs to be done.

Common Pathways

Locate yourself on one of these and you have your starting move.

You have a specific operating problem and you want a read on it. Start with a MicroReview. It produces a written read on the record and gives you the first working artifact of the practice. Operators who start here typically move to an OnsiteReview or an Operator’s Offsite once the MicroReview has surfaced the deeper architecture question.

You want to know what your operation is actually running versus what you think it is running. Start with an OnsiteReview. It produces the full operating architecture of the operation on paper. Operators who start here typically move to an Operator’s Offsite for architecture-level rebuild work, or into coaching if the OnsiteReview surfaces ongoing operating work that runs past a single engagement.

You know you need architecture-level work and you want to start there. Start with an Operator’s Offsite. Multi-day, off-site, rebuild the operating architecture from the physics. Operators who complete an Offsite typically enter coaching at that point — the Offsite has already established the operating relationship coaching runs on.

You want ongoing operating architecture and you have prior work with me. Coaching is your entry. The three-period minimum assumes the operating relationship is already established. If it is not, one of the entry points above is where you start first.

You want to bring the practice to your operators or your team. ThinkWorx Workshops. Group format, framework transmission, one or multi-day, on your site or off. Operators who run a workshop for their team often follow with a coaching relationship for themselves.

Coaching And Consulting — The Distinction

The bottom-right of the grid holds two destinations. Read this before you decide which one you are heading toward.

Coaching runs ongoing operating architecture. The three-period minimum is the coaching’s operating unit. The physics runs across every period. The operator’s whole operation is inside the coaching’s scope. Coaching does not produce a deliverable at the end of a defined engagement — it produces the operator running his operation on the physics, and the coaching continues as long as the operating relationship compounds.

Consulting produces a defined project outcome. Consulting is bounded. A specific piece of work gets scoped, priced, executed, and closed. The consulting engagement has a start, a middle, and an end. Consulting can run alongside coaching for operators who need both, but the two are distinct.

If you want ongoing operating architecture, you want coaching. If you want a specific project run to completion, you want consulting.

What You Do Next

If you have located yourself on the grid and you know which service you are starting with, that service’s own page is the next surface. Click through, read the depth, and initiate the engagement from there.

If you have located yourself and the service at your coordinates is not clear to you, book a One-Hour Read. One hour, one conversation, we work through your position together, and we identify the right entry point. The One-Hour Read is not a sales call. It is the first hour of operating work.

If none of the pathways match your position, you are on a starting position I have not named on this page. Send me a note. We will figure it out.
